Cafe Brasil

Cafe Brasil

I heard Cafe Brasil had a great breakfast but gets crowded quickly. On a hunch that Santa Cruz locals don’t get up early, I arrived at 9 AM on a Saturday. I was right. There were only a few people on the waiting list when I arrived. But all the reviews of the lackluster service were spot on. While waiting about 25 minutes 3 tables were free and clean for about 15 minutes.

The reviews of the Cafe Brasil’s food were spot on as well. The omelette filled with mozzarella cheese and cream of chicken was rich and filling but the bomb was the roasted cream of corn salsa on top. Still worth a trip if you get the chance. But bring a good book or conversationalist for the wait.
