At the top of Mount Aukum, you feel like you could kiss the sky. I hear the owners of Kehret Vineyards land their helicopter on the property. Soak in the view of this vast quilt of vineyards and treetops in all directions.
Then, soak in the juice. Kehret Vineyards’ flight began with a sauvignon blanc that felt like crisp lemon on the palate with vibrant acidity yet a creamy finish. Their malbec had a tight crisp berry body with soft tannins. They finished with a petite sirah that showed off the hallmark purple plum and blueberry with tart bitter chewy tannins. This will be beautiful when aged.
